Libretto helps Cambridge College launch $50 million capital campaign

BOSTON, October 9, 2003 – Cambridge College has contracted with Libretto, a strategic writing firm based in Boston, to develop a range of materials for The Campaign for Cambridge College, the school's $50 million fundraising effort, and for other key initiatives. The college is a national leader in providing high quality, career-oriented education to working adults, especially those of limited means. The campaign will allow Cambridge College to expand its innovative programs to reach previously underserved populations, most notably Latino and Asian communities.

"Our unique focus and track record of success holds a strong appeal for donors who are concerned about equality and social justice," says Judy Groleau, Director of the Capital Campaign. "By presenting our story in a clear and compelling way, Libretto has enabled the fundraising team to focus our donors in new ways that enable us to create additional possibilities for the populations that we serve." Libretto has written a case statement for the capital campaign, and a series of inserts that highlight the range of giving opportunities. Other deliverables include an annual report, related fundraising brochures, and program materials for the inauguration of the college’s new president. Many of these pieces were developed simultaneously, with several Libretto writers working with different members of the Cambridge College team, and with creative partners Fahrenheit Design and Project Power.

"It’s an honor to work with an institution that is committed to providing educational opportunities for overlooked segments of the population," said Neal Kane, president of Libretto. "We’re proud to help Cambridge College continue this tradition through the development of these vital tools."

Other deliverables have included a competitive analysis, elevator pitch, brochures, data sheets, and case studies. Many of these projects have been developed simultaneously, with several Libretto writers working in tandem with Sonic staff at all levels of the organization, and with our design partner, Stillpoint Studios. "Sonic is a rapidly growing technology leader," notes Neal Kane, president of Libretto. "We’ve truly enjoyed helping the company conceptualize and articulate compelling messages to its stakeholders through communications that range from the company tagline to case studies and product collateral."
