Libretto begins work on a new website for Pace Law School

BOSTON, October 25, 2005 – Having recently completed a new viewbook for Pace Law School, Libretto is now addressing the challenge of reinvigorating the school’s website. Founded in 1976 in White Plains, NY, Pace is known for its comprehensive and integrated approach to the study of law, which focuses on the combination of knowledge, skills, and real-world experience, as well as for its leadership and excellence in the area of Environmental Law programs.

Pace’s new messaging centers around the vision of Stephen J. Friedman, the school’s new dean. Friedman believes that law schools must do a better job of preparing students for the realities of being a practicing attorney. As Libretto articulated in the dean’s letter in the front of the new viewbook, “At Pace Law School, you won’t just learn how to think like a lawyer. You’ll become one.”

Says Nancy Faris, senior writer at Libretto, “We are proud to be working with such a revered school and honored to be chosen for two critical marketing efforts as Pace celebrates its 30th anniversary.”

Libretto completes website and collateral materials for Covergence, developers of real-time communications technology

BOSTON, October 25, 2005 – Libretto recently created a new website and collateral materials for Covergence, a Maynard, MA-based company that developed a solution that ensures the quality and reliability of real-time Voice over IP (VoIP) communications. Covergence’s Eclipse™ is the first unified security and management solution for all SIP-based applications and services, enabling service providers and their corporate customers to reap the promised benefits of VoIP technology.

According to Rod Hodgman, vice president of marketing for Covergence, “Libretto staff quickly grasped the technical issues and were able to clearly express the critical business benefits of our technology. We’re very pleased with the quality of the work and their ability to deliver multiple projects on deadline.”
Libretto worked closely with Hodgman to learn the Covergence and Eclipse value propositions, then articulated the benefits in messaging tailored to the company’s two audiences: service providers and enterprises. Collaborating with design partner Kathy Forsythe, Libretto developed a website that easily guides readers to the level of information they need, and a series of brochures that provides an overview of Covergence's products and solutions.

“It’s always exciting to learn and write about solutions that are innovative and important,” says Libretto Senior Writer Jason Rubin. “While it requires some up-front work to absorb the technical aspects, the payoff is in being able to craft compelling copy for both online and print media.”

Libretto completes conference guidebook for the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA)

BOSTON, October 11, 2005 – Libretto is proud to announce its recent collaboration with Stolze Design to produce the 2005 AIGA National Design Conference guidebook. First held in Boston 20 years ago, the annual weekend conference brings together design professionals from around the US to facilitate the exchange of ideas, establish connections between artists, improve knowledge and skill, and celebrate the graphic arts. The guidebook is a unique way to introduce guests to the conference’s host city while celebrating the medium of graphic design. Inspired by an AIGA guidebook made almost 20 years ago, this year’s book features contributions by 25 Boston designers, who were asked to submit graphic depictions and verbal descriptions of their favorite Boston landmark, eatery, or other point of interest. The result is a beautiful keepsake brought together by collaboration between a number of creative professionals – truly in the spirit of AIGA.

“AIGA is a wonderful resource for designers and creative professionals that encourages collaboration and furthers the field of design,” says Neal Kane, president of Libretto. “We were grateful for the opportunity to work on this exciting project with a number of talented area designers and are very pleased with the result.”
