Client Profile: The Earth Institute is the world’s leading academic center focused on sustainable development.
Project: Create a clear messaging platform to help the campaign leaders, including Earth Institute director Jeffrey Sachs, make the case for leadership donor support during the quiet phase of a $200 million fundraising effort.
Process: Following in-depth interviews with Dr. Sachs, senior Institute leaders, key faculty members, and donors, Libretto delivered a messaging platform capturing the Institute’s overarching mission and vision behind the campaign. Libretto also created key collateral pieces, including a customizable donor presentation and campaign brochure, as well as a two-year communications plan focused on promoting donor interactions with Institute leaders and faculty.
Based on the extraordinary success of its quiet-phase activities, the Earth Institute was able to raise its campaign goal to $300 million and achieve that goal ahead of schedule.
