MIT Medical
In collaboration with Boston-based Web design firm Nimble Partners, Libretto recently participated in the redesign and relaunch of the MIT Medical website. MIT Medical provides the MIT community and their families with a broad range of health services at its on-campus medical centers, and sought to re-craft its site to showcase key clinical services and departments, promote wellness and healthy living, and serve as a communications and marketing tool.
The website team was tasked with creating site architecture and content to provide easily accessible information about health care and health insurance offerings at MIT Medical to a wide variety of audiences. In order to achieve these objectives, Libretto developed an adaptable content strategy that focused on clear, concise, and straightforward copy and navigation while remaining flexible in order to adjust to MIT Medical’s evolving goals for the site.
For the revamped site, Libretto created seven audience-specific guides for MIT students, employees, and retirees, among others, to address the unique needs of each user group; a section detailing the various MIT Medical health plans; and a series of “How do I” pages explaining policies and procedures at MIT Medical. Libretto also created a microsite for MIT Medical’s Center for Health Promotion & Wellness, which includes 21 health topic pages that outline common health concerns and provide information about appropriate resources available at MIT Medical and in the Cambridge area.
The new site effectively strengthens MIT Medical’s brand identity and reinforces its positioning in the health care arena.
