As one of the world’s leading business schools, MIT Sloan recruits the best and the brightest for its MBA program. Libretto worked with the school to create two editions of its key MBA recruitment piece, which combines text describing the program with testimonials from students and alumni, along with numerous links to relevant Web-based information. The integrated online and offline content found in the viewbooks has been cited as an example of business school marketing “best practices.”

Libretto was subsequently contracted to write a brochure promoting MIT Sloan’s innovative new curriculum. Created in conjunction with Yee Design, the bold yet spare piece is based on the theme of “Business as (Un)Usual.” Each headline is altered slightly in some way to reflect surprising, unconventional characteristics of the program. For example, “Evolutionary Ideas” becomes “(R)Evolutionary Idea(l)s.” In just a few short words, these headlines capture the essence of the curriculum enhancement effort, and the energy and spirit of the program.
