The New York Junior League
The
New York Junior League (NYJL) is a 103-year-old nonprofit organization
dedicated to developing the leadership potential of women and improving
communities in New York City. Housed in a New York City landmark
building, the NYJL’s headquarters are in critical need of
repairs and modernization to meet the needs of this dynamic volunteer
organization. Libretto helped kick-start the League’s $3
million campaign for building improvements and endowment funds.
Libretto came up with campaign theme of “Building Opportunities” to
reflect both the needs and mission of the League. Along with creative
partner studio-e, Libretto created a compelling and persuasive
brochure that makes the case for the campaign through facts about
the organization’s history and mission, and a highly readable
question and answer section.
“Libretto helped the New York Junior League make a persuasive
capital appeal to our 3,000 women volunteers. They listened to
us and helped craft a message that wove our legacy of service in
New York City to the modern realities of an aging infrastructure
ill-suited to meet our present and future needs. The proof has
been in the Campaign’s success: in less than six months,
we passed the $1 million mark. Building Opportunities speaks to
all we offer New York City’s most at-risk populations, and
the leadership and training opportunities we offer our women volunteers.”
