Semiconductor manufacturer CP Clare contracted with Libretto to revisit
its name in light of the company’s strategic shift away from
component manufacturing to more sophisticated application specific
integrated circuits (ASICs). After exploring various name candidates,
the company decided to leverage its existing brand equity by
relaunching with the name “Clare,” a new logo, and a tagline that
would articulate the company’s broader product line.
The company tagline created by Libretto, “Micro Chips, Macro Solutions,” reflects the
transition from a component-oriented to a solutions-oriented focus. To build support
for the new corporate image, Libretto also worked with the client to develop
announcement materials, advertising, and new website content.
